The change from
text to graphics was a main jump instigated by Apple, with his Macintosh OS in
mid 1980s. Recently from past 10 years, we’ve perceived revolutionized UI that
intricate the use of touch by fingers , voice and even gestures.
Here are some five User Interface which will soon hit the market.
Here are some five User Interface which will soon hit the market.
1. Gesture Interfaces
The system
recognizes the movement via Gestures and motions. In short it detects your
motion, gestures rely on your motions have the benefits in their own way. Imagine
your one motion of the hands turns the colour of your wall, your eyes movement
locks or unlocks the device. The present two dimensional UI will surely change
into the three dimensions as soon, as it will add with the third and the most
important axis called Z-axis to increase the flow of interaction between the artificial
man-made system and natural human body.
Although, on the positive note GestureRecognition and motion technology will surely add advantages to the booming
technical era. With this one can be assured with more accuracy, high stability
and time consuming. The present global scenario inherits the use in Automotive
sector, Consumer electronics sector, Transit sector, Gaming sector, To unlock
smartphones.

2. Augmented Reality (AR)
Augmented reality the
reality the won’t exists but it do exits by augmenting your vision, the real
but not real. Confused? Yes the ultimate
aim of the AR is to confuse you with reality, build the thin line of difference
between reality and virtual reality augmentation. It is changing the way
drastically and what we view the world -- or at least the way its users see the
world.
Depict yourself walking on the street.
With augmented-reality displays, which will eventually look much like a typical
pair of glasses, edifying graphics which appear in your field of vision. AR is
getting the biggest boost the Google’s Project Glass-- wearable eye glasses,
which allow one to see virtual lean-tos of reality that you can interact with thoroughly.
AR can be on anything other than
glasses, so long as the device is able to interact with a real-world
environment in real-time.
3. Brain-Machine Interface
Brain MachineInterface (BMI) or Brain Computer Interface (BCI) is a direct communication
pathway between an enhanced or wired brain and an external device. BCIs are
often directed at researching, mapping, assisting, augmenting, or repairing
human cognitive or sensory-motor functions ( Source: Wikipedia). Until
recently, the dream of being able to rheostat one's atmosphere through thoughts
had been in the dominion of science fiction. However, the advancement in technology
has brought a new reality- Today, electrical signals from brain interact with,
influence, or change their environments.
The emerging field of brain-computerinterface (BCI) technology may allow individuals unable to speak and/or use
their limbs to once again communicate or operate assistive devices for walking
and manipulating objects. Brain-computer interface research is an area of high
public awareness. Our brain generates all kinds of electrical signals with our
thoughts, so much so that each specific thought has its own brainwave pattern.
These unique electrical signals can be mapped to carry out specific commands so
that thinking the thought can actually carry out the set command.
4. Body- Borne Computers
Apple watches- a
wearable item. Body-borne Computers, wearable’s or commonly known as wearable
computers are the accessory type computers which individuals can wear through
the great replica. These are often miniature electronic devices which one can
wear. Based on the Wikipedia’s source Wearable computers are especially useful
for applications that require more complex computational support, such as
accelerometers or gyroscopes, than just hardware coded logic.
It can be eyeglasses, a
watch (Apple watch) or even human attire. Wearable’s keep your hands free and
will not thwart your daily activities.
Presently the technological shift is more focusing towards this body
borne as Apple already has its watch. Soon we will see some mind blowing
gadgets in upcoming 5 years. It’s area of application includes sensory
integration, e.g. to help people see better or understand the world better
(whether in task-specific applications like camera-based welding helmets or for
everyday use like computerized
"digital eyeglass") etc.
5. Tangible User Interface
A simple example of Tangible User Interface (TUI) is the computer mouse. Dragging the mouse over a
flat surface and having a pointer moving on the screen accordingly. The characteristics
include Physical representations are computationally coupled to underlying
digital information, the physical representations embody mechanisms for interactive
control, perceptually coupled to actively mediated digital representations and
physical state of tangibles embodies key aspects of the digital state of a
system. The ultimate aim is to interact with digital information through
physical environment.
Well, as of now,
you could have a short but brief idea about the UI which you can see in
upcoming years.
